Hi,

I'm tired of Unity and I'd like to give superpowers a try, but I see there hasn't been any activity in a while.
Does somebody still plan to maintain this, or is it going to die?

@jstoeffler I too would like to know. I suppose reality caught up with them and they had to work a day job to support themselves, like any other normal person.

Superpowers was really easy to use and it's excellent for 2D games as well as lightweight (low poly) 3D games, and works really well for Jams from what I've seen. I also think most simple game concepts can be developed with it, however you MUST know typescript / javascript if you want to get most of this engine and be very comfortable with web technologies and idiosyncrasies.

The main dev Elisee also has another engine called CraftStudio which I think works with a voxel / 3D primitive construction focus, so everything can be made out of 3D primitive cubes (think 3D pixel art), he released it recently as well.

If you want a more robust engine without compromising simplicity i'd suggest Godot Engine which is also 100% open-source, and it's very active as they are aiming for a fully featured 3.0 version to be released on June if things go well. If you want to know more about these features you can watch a conference where one of the main developers explains the key features for the newest version.
