Option to open only with a double-click

Thanks for the useful package.
One issue is that, wheneven I click a file e.g. for renaming or moving it, it is immediately opened in the external application, which might be quite slow.
Is it possible to add an option such that only double-clicking the file will open the external application?

Thats good to hear. To be honest I haven't used atom or this plugin for the last 4 years.

If you manage to fix it yourself, or if someone else submits a PR, I'd be happy to merge it and re-publish the package, but I will unfortunately not have time to look into it myself anytime soon.
