It would be nice to have a short glossary on hover for words that we use on the committee that might not be clear to outsiders.

Here are a couple that we have gathered so far:
Delegate - A person who represents an ECMA International member organization
Member - An organization that has joined ECMA
Champion - A person who presents and supports a proposal through the tc39 process
Contributor - A person who is working towards making a proposal a reality
Proposal - a proposed new language feature that has not yet been added to the language
Ecma international- A standardization body that takes care of the ECMAScript spec
TC39 - Technical Committee 39, a committee organized by Ecma international
ECMA-262 - the official name of the ECMAScript specification
ECMA-402 - the official name of the internationalization specification

Any other suggestions?

(I would prefer links; hover is terribly inaccessible on mobile and isn’t very affordant)

“TC39 process” should probably be one too

this is a good point -- i think we can do something similar to what wikipedia does for citations? that way you do not navigate away form the page for a small piece of informtion

That seems reasonable; having it do something on hover isn't inherently bad, as long as the experience on a touch device isn't worsened (ie, sometimes having a hover interaction makes two taps required to get to the click action)

could you show me an example? I see they use tooltips but they're also links on mobile, is this what you meant?
