Hey everyone! 👋
We’re thrilled to welcome you to PySorta — a friendly Python-powered file organizer built for creators, learners, and anyone tired of chaotic folders.
What began as a utility to clean up messy Downloads folders during creative sprints has grown into something more: a shared space for learning, growing, and building in the open.
🧠 Why This Matters
This is more than a script — it’s an invitation to collaborate.
I'm being fully transparent here: I’ve never collaborated on an open-source project before. This is a first for me, and I’m learning as I go. I’m open to feedback, guidance, and community — whether it's about structure, process, or best practices.
No one should feel like they don’t belong here.
If you've ever felt like an imposter — trust me, you're not alone. Most of us didn’t come from fancy degrees or bootcamps; we learned by doing, by breaking things, and by building them back stronger.
That’s what PySorta is. That’s what this space is.
