First of all thanks a lot for this game ! This kind of game is too rare.
(And more thanks for the touchscreen option !!)
Here are some humble suggestions, based on experience on other game of this type, (and that you probably already though of :D )
- Timer pause when window lose focus
Mistake consequence :
- Hard mode (like in old Einstein game) in which any mistake (selection or removal of an "emoji") is instant game-over.
- Same but in "beginner" mode in which any mistake trigger a warning/pop-up (avoiding to lose too many time on a bad hypothesis)
Both could be added/merged with current difficulty modes.
There maybe an advanced implementation (a "no luck" mode) in which any decision of the player is evaluated, not on the solution, but on current state of the board and rules (like "This choice is not possible at this state of the game", regardless if it is a correct choice solution-wise or not).
It's inspired by cluesbysam[.]com but they have way less rules/possibilities. So i guess this will be much more difficult for EmojiClu.
UI :
- A vertical mode/dynamic adaptation of rules placement
- background matching window theme/color (not sure if it is a good idea "reading"-wise)
Thanks again.
