ICON freezing if connected to a hardware device being manuallz updated

Hello,

If we are connected to a device (e.g. pzdase plugin) that is updated manually, ICON freezes during the time of the update. We have to disconnect this device from ICON, update the parameter manually, then connect it back.

What would be the best way to resolve this?
