​Disable AI and Telemetry

Description

Please make it easy to remove all telemetry, all login hooks, and all phone homes.
Please remove the AI feature popups, or make it possible to disable them, as they are also phoning home.
If i block all domains locally, it messes with stuff, i'd like to just be able to load this up and not have to watch my security tools to make sure my personal information is not getting exfiltrated out under my nose.

Use case

A button that actually disables all telemetry/phone homes.

Anything else?

Great project, really wish there was a solid delineation between the product you want to sell, and the product that is actually free, not some mish mash of both.

Regarding disabling AI in affine completely, we will provide this option in the future.

looks like adding env variable ENABLE_TELEMETRY is NOT working...
I set to false in the docker compose, but still it is activated in the "About AFFiNE", self hosted instance (using 0.16.1)
The env variable is listed in packages/backend/server/src/config/affine.env.ts
It would be good if TELEMETRY and AI can be control using env variable.

I wholeheartedly agree with this issue - the telemetry flag isn't working and the AI gets on my nerves. :-D
Also, I'm on the Free Plan with 10 GBs of usage on my own selfhosted instance, which seems weird.

I just discovered this projects and running my first test. It looks really awesome and I'm hyped to try more. I'd also appreciate if there was a docker-compose.yml with an extensive option / environment variable list.

@affine team, This feature is highly needed that are using affine for really confidential stuffs. We have affine pro at work but I have other things for my side projects and knowledge and I am hosting them myself.

Disabling every telemetry and ai stuffs would be awesome.

I too would really like this feature! I'm not interested in paying for the AI features and it's annoying having the program constantly bugging me about them and having it otherwise clutter the user experience.

Shame, I'd be interested in monetarily supporting a self-hosting solution that respected users' desire to not have AI shoved in their face. Not everyone is on the hype train.

Huge shame to see an otherwise great project be dragged down by forced features trying to capitalize on the latest tech craze.
