Wow! After updating my CPU temps dropped by 10 degrees and hasn't even broken 60C, including while compiling flameshot with clang. The indicator in the menu bar is a really nice touch too. Thank you so much for all the work you put in!

Thank you, I’m glad to hear you like the menu bar item. There really haven’t been much changes to the actual power management compares with 0.6. Although the temperature data output did become a bit more accurate, a 10 degrees drop sounds too much. Maybe it’s just the room temperature?

Can't be, same room and the room temperature didn't change between me changing the kexts and restarting.

In previous versions there might be some instant peak in temperature data that are not accurate. But if there's a constantly 10 degree different I am starting to worry if I broke some temperature offset. I did not noticed 10 degree different on my system tho :)

Huh. With 0.6 I didn't experience any sudden temperature peaks, just sustained semi-high temps while doing things.
After updating, the temperatures I see in macOS doing the same/similar tasks in Windows are much closer to where I expected them.
I always kinda just assumed because AMD CPUs lack some intel instruction sets that macOS was just eating up more background CPU time and thus ran hotter, but I'm not so sure anymore.
Also, this might just be me, but I do think the temperature reading is accurate because after the update I can feel less heat coming off of the heatsink inside my PC.
Another note is that during the reboot I did update to 11.5.1, but that shouldn't have made a difference cause it's just a security patch.
