im trying to connect as many as possible rotary encoders to ardino uno3.

im trying with mcp 23017
and i would like to know how to wire it properly.

can you help me with that?

Hi! How to individually solve the allocation of pins with several MCP23017 ic?

0x20 -> 8 rotary, [0,1], [2,3], [4,5],...
0x21 -> 8 rotary, [0,1], [2,3], [4,5],...
0x22 -> 8 Button, [0], [1], [2],...
0x23 -> Mixed, MCP(0,1 Pins)::Rotary, MCP(2 Pin)::Button,.. [0,1,2], [3,4,5], [5,6,7], [8,9,10]

The 4 ICs are on a common interrupt pin.

The first three MCPs are fine, but the fourth is not: the library does not allow you to mix normal IO with encoders on a single chip.
You could add support for this yourself, but it would increase the complexity of the MCP23017Encoders class.
