Initial list of routes could display either really common lines, recently used lines. Clicking on the right side icon (map pin) could auto-populate that field with the closest stop based on device location.
Clicking on the route number could reveal full details about the route, such as all stops with relevant stops to the journey highlighted more prominently. Clicking on the main gray area should select the line to display the route on the map view.

Sk, I have a feel, if we put the route number at the left column that will be great. now the number you are using thats what we have used on the paper map which might mislead the rider as route number.

Here "5" is the route number on our map but "36" is actual rote number. so it will be wise if we use the actual route number.
I was thinking we can represent the "Route" by the route name not by bus name since there are number of buses from different company runs on the same route. we can certainly put the bus information under the route name.
