Saying "You are now free to use the token stored in the access_token_set_by_request_script runtime variable in your requests as needed." is mostly useless.

There should be an example showing how to use this.

Even better, this faffing with scripts should be replaced by a simple checkbox in Collection > Auth: "Use these credentials for everything in this collection". Checking that means all endpoints would Just Work with the given credentials.

Given that Bruno doesn't support that rather sensible way of configuring authentication for a collection, the docs should tell me exactly how to do it.

Also, feel free to use our client credentials sample collection if you want to try or test something out quickly.

Thanks — I think the problem is that the documentation mentions adding the script, but it doesn't seem to be necessary for this purpose any more, and the docs don't really make it clear that you don't need to do that, but should just set the requests to have auth type "inherit".

Following the docs and ignoring the script would actually have worked, but for usebruno/bruno#6963 — the imported items all defaulted to overriding the auth I set at the top level, which is why nothing was working 😊

Are you following the current OAuth2 docs?
You don't need to write any script for anything but if you're referring to the legacy OAuth2 docs then indeed you have to add script as mentioned in the docs.

May I know which version of Bruno you're using?
