Problem or Use Case

I'm switching from Google Keep and one thing I used to sort my notes visually was to color them based on the tag I assigned.

Proposed Solution

It would be really helpful if you could assign colors to specific tags and Memos could then change the background color of any note with that tag. For example, a tag like "to-do" could always be colored purple so you can spot them faster when scrolling through your notes.

Alternatives Considered

I tried seeing if I could figure it out with CSS myself, but had no luck.

at least on v0.26.2 you can write something like

article:has(span[data-tag="programming"]) {
  --tag-color: red;
  background: color-mix(in oklab, var(--card), var(--tag-color) 25%);
}

with rules that are below having higher precedence
