Our commitment

We are committed to making participation in Devboxes a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, experience level, education, socioeconomic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, color, religion, sexual identity and orientation, or technical choices.

We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.

Expected behavior

  • Demonstrate empathy and kindness toward other people.
  • Respect differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences.
  • Give and gracefully accept constructive feedback.
  • Take responsibility, apologize to those affected by mistakes, and learn from the experience.
  • Focus on what is best for the community and its users.

Unacceptable behavior

  • Sexualized language or imagery, unwelcome sexual attention, or advances.
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, personal or political attacks, or sustained disruption.
  • Public or private harassment.
  • Publishing another person's private information without explicit permission.
  • Retaliation against someone who reports a concern.
  • Conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Scope and enforcement

This Code applies in project spaces and whenever an individual is officially representing the project. Report abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior privately through the repository's maintainer contact or GitHub reporting tools. Do not use a public issue for a sensitive report.

Maintainers will review reports promptly, respect the privacy and safety of reporters, and apply consequences proportionate to the behavior. Possible responses include a private correction, warning, temporary exclusion, or permanent ban. Maintainers who do not follow or enforce this Code in good faith may be removed from project responsibilities.
