Currently, we load all translations from the db (and the project translations dict) on warm-up and store them inside a new dict.

  • Check how large translation tables affetcs the performance, memory, etc.
  • If necessary, evaluate how we can use caching or shared objects to optimize this.

I checked this locally and in the Appengine for 2100 entries with 6 translations each:

Loading 2100 entries from db took 0.7965s (locally)
Loading 2100 entries from db took 0.650s (Appengine)
