What version of LLVM?

Hi @vmihalko!

I'm asking this here rather than upstream (i.e., https://github.com/staticafi/llvm2c), because it seems your fork is quite active.

A quick query: what version of LLVM do you think your branch works with?

I just opened this PR #16 which for me, gets things compiling with 15.0.7 (I don't say working, because it crashes!), but still, building is better than not building :)

Hey, I'm working with LLVM-14. I didn't have enough time and was also scared about what should be fixed to adopt and support LLVM-15 (with opaque pointers).

At least that's useful to know what version of LLVM you think this works with :)

I can report that this does not work with LLVM 18, due to the deprecation of llvm::Type* llvm::Type::getPointerElementType(), therefore I think one needs to compile the project with LLVM 15 for this to work.

Unfortunately, supporting LLVM 15 is not currently a priority for us. However, it's definitely the biggest barrier to moving forward towards new LLVM releases.
