VSCode "go to definition" is exceptionally slow after recent vue.volar update

first post. hope i'm not breaking any rules.

vue.volar was updated on 2025/09/15. following that, "go to definition" (and seemingly anything using intellisense) is either not work or is exceptionally slow and i've lost patience to wait. lol. today, my first use of "go to definition" as immediate (as it was before the update). subsequent attempts take about 30 seconds but eventually completes. (at that point, it's faster to just search for the method.) parameter hints are also very slow to the point of being useless. is there some cache or something i need to clear to get this to work properly? any advice appreciated.

Try disabling vue.editor.reactivityVisualization.

holy cow! that was quick and it worked! thank you very much. can you explain what this is doing and what capability i've lost by disabling it? or was it defaulted to off in previous versions but is now defaulted to on in the update? again, thanks. you've saved me so much headache.

Previously this was an advanced feature and now it is free. I will turn off this feature by default at next version.

This feature tracks and displays reactivity in code through static analysis and type checking, which might cost significant performance overhead.
