The Web Media API CG develops the Web Media APIs 2017 spec which "defines the Web APIs that should be included in device implementations to support media web apps in 2017".

Ah, lack of Web Audio API is already an open issue over there: w3c/webmediaapi#18

Moving the issue back to Incubation since, despite the possibly confusing name, Web Media APIs is not in scope fo the recently chartered Media WG. The Web Media API CG continues to publish annual snapshots, with no intent to transition the work to a Working Group for the time being.
