The Linked Building Data CG studies building information modelling (BIM) and Web of Data technologies.

They are considering transitioning to a Working Group and prepared an initial draft WG charter.

See other documents on the LBD CG group's main page.

During the Spatial Data on the Web Interest Group F2F we discussed a number of points. I've added these here so that by the time we get to TPAC 2018 and our next opportunity to talk, we have some record to refer to.

  1. We agreed to meet at TPAC 2018
  2. LBD CG wanted to offload the geometry serialisation task to another standards group; @lieberjosh noted the work originating from Cesium that aims to create an OGC community standard for geometry serialisation (3D tiles); he agreed to send links to that work and to do the necessary introductions
  3. SDW IG will keep LBD CG informed of OGC work in the Integrated Digital Building Environment (IDBE) Group to harmonise with CityGML, PipelineML, Muddy and other standardised representations of the built environment; noting that they are really intended for different purposes, so there's not much [semantic?] overlap.
