Able to proxy MPD URL?

As per above title, I understand M3U8 URL is okay but I would like to know if I'm able to proxy MPD URL?

The short answer is: no…

• .m3u8 is HLS
• .mpd is DASH

The longer answer is:

• a long time ago, I played around with writing a reverse proxy that would convert in real-time from DASH to HLS
• you can test it out with your DASH stream
• if everything works, then you can point HLS Proxy at the URL for the HLS manifest that is served by this intermediate proxy
