Zone Write Plugging : Does ZenFS needs to maintain O_DIRECT on write fd?

As i run my zenfs after kernel 6.10 (write plugging added), it just works and more faster.
Is any other issue zenfs should maintain O_DIRECT feature?

Furthermore, should mq-deadline be the scheduler for ZenFS?

Hi! You can run without the mq-deadline scheduler if you're on a kernel with zone write plugging enabled. The checks we have in place for mq-deadline needs to be disabled though, but that should be easy for you to do in the code. We should look into run-time-checking the kernel for the feature and disable the check automatically . O_DIRECT is still a requirement. Thanks, Hans
