Add Support Contact or Contribution Guidelines for Reporting Issues #497

@ahmed-arb

Description

@ahmed-arb

Description:

A user landed on the edly privacy policy page linked in the WikiLearn footer, which listed support@localhost as the contact email. This user ended up emailing info@edx.org, from there the email somehow found @ahmed-arb. This incident highlights the need for clearer guidance on how users can report issues related to our site. We can reduce such user friction by making our own contact or reporting process more visible.

Problem:

There is currently no clear contact method or contribution guideline on our own website (or relevant repos) for users to:

  • Report issues or bugs
  • Reach out for support
  • Understand where to raise tickets (like GitHub Issues)

Suggested Actions:

Add a valid support or contact email address (e.g., support@edly.io) to our public-facing website.

Alternatively (or additionally), provide a “Report an Issue” or “Contribute” section that directs users to:

  • Our GitHub issue tracker
  • A feedback form or support portal
  • Relevant documentation for contributing or reporting bugs
