What

  • A worked example of graph sets (ADR-0027). examples/minigraph-playground keeps tutorial-1 and support-triage as loose graphs and deploys tutorials 2 to 14 as the set tutorials (resources/graph/tutorials.pack, version 1.0), unpacked into file:/tmp/unpack. The pack is the graph packager's output for the engine's tutorial-N.json files, byte for byte (pack --set tutorials --manifest 'description=Tutorial-2 to 14' --manifest version=1.0, SHA-256 33107f91…), so import graph from tutorial-N and list graphs now show the set at work (tutorial-6 - … (set tutorials, version 1.0)).
  • The import fallback's redundant sentence is gone. After Found deployed graph model in {location} the console no longer prints "Please export an updated version and re-import to instantiate an instance model" - the following "Graph model imported as draft" already says what happened. The five tutorial help pages that quote the output (5, 6, 8, 10, 12) follow, and the Playground bundle is rebuilt (index-CLmQ6fcx → index-BTVKYfNr; the chunk's diff is those five help lines).
  • The unpack-folder examples are fixed. The loader refuses an unpack folder inside the Playground's temp folder (location.graph.temp), yet help package, the starter template's commented manifest and the AI agent guide's deploy-a-set steps showed one under /tmp/graph - refused at startup. They now use file:/tmp/unpack and state the rule; the configuration reference's refusal sentence adds "or a folder inside it". GraphSetLoaderTest keeps /tmp/graph/unpacked as its negative case. Bundle rebuilt again (index-BVYn3P8C).

Why

Graph sets had a packager, a loader, a panel and a configuration reference, but no running example: a reader had to assemble the manifest from the reference. The Playground example now deploys loose graphs and a set side by side, and its tests exercise the set (GraphTests' tutorials and the tutorial-14 suspend/resume drive reach their graphs through it). The advisory line asked the user to do something the import had just done for them.

Lock-step twin in the Rust port: Accenture/mercury#387, with the identical pack.

Verification

  • mvn -o install -f system/minigraph-playground-engine/pom.xml - 227 tests, 0 failures
  • mvn -o test -f system/ai-contract-provider/pom.xml - 20 tests, 0 failures (the snapshot's link check)
  • mvn -o test -f examples/minigraph-playground/pom.xml - 23 tests, 0 failures; the log reads Deployed set tutorials (version 1.0) from classpath:/graph/tutorials.pack - 13 graphs into file:/tmp/unpack

Note for later: the tutorials now live twice in this repo - the engine's loose JSON (the source) and the example's pack - so a tutorial edit needs a re-pack with the command above.

…drop the import advisory's redundant sentence

The Playground example is now the worked example of graph sets (ADR-0027): tutorial-1 and
support-triage stay loose graphs, and tutorials 2 to 14 deploy as the set 'tutorials'
(resources/graph/tutorials.pack, version 1.0) unpacked into file:/tmp/unpack. The pack is
the graph packager's output for the engine's tutorial JSON files, byte for byte.

The import fallback no longer prints "Please export an updated version and re-import to
instantiate an instance model" after "Found deployed graph model in {location}" - the
following "Graph model imported as draft" already says what happened. The five tutorial
help pages that quote the output follow, and the Playground bundle is rebuilt
(index-BTVKYfNr).

…efuses a folder inside the Playground's temp folder

The help page 'help package', the starter template's commented manifest and the AI agent
guide's deploy-a-set steps showed an unpack folder under /tmp/graph, which the graph-set
loader refuses at startup ("must not be the Playground's temporary folder
(location.graph.temp) or inside it"). They now use file:/tmp/unpack and state the rule, and
the configuration reference's refusal sentence names a folder inside the temp folder too.
GraphSetLoaderTest keeps /tmp/graph/unpacked as its negative case. The Playground bundle is
rebuilt for the help page (index-BVYn3P8C).
