CVRX v1.0.13
Fixes
- Fixed an issue with improper API handling.
Sorry for the unexciting update; Groups support and more is coming soon™ - promise! <3
CVRX v1.0.12
Changes
- You can join your friends directly from their Details Page now!
Relevant 'Join' buttons are added to the details pages of friends who are online and in joinable instances. - Deeplink buttons dynamically change based on game state!
The 'Join in VR' and 'Join in Desktop' buttons inside Details Pages and Desktop Notifications now just becomes a singular 'Join In-Game' button if you already have ChilloutVR running.
Note: This currently does not apply to the Invites & Requests nodes - however if you have ChilloutVR running, it doesn't matter which one you click, you'll join the instance in whatever play-mode you're in (Desktop or VR) - Desktop Notifications have had a glow-up!
Various tweaks and improvements to the desktop notifications have been made for better visual consistency.
CVRX v1.0.11
Added
- XSOverlay Notification Support
This is ENABLED by default. To disable:
Settings -> Notifications -> Other Notification Options -> XSOverlay Notifications
This utilises the XSOverlay Websocket API to push notifications directly into your HMD.
Changes
System TrayNotification is now Muted
No longer will you get the train station announcement jingle when you close to task bar. This also doesn't show up in the XSOverlay notifications if you have them enabled,
CVRX v1.0.10
Added
- Batch Selection of AAS Parameters (#84)
You can now select multiple AAS parameters to delete them and also... - AAS Parameter Transfer (#84)
...you can transfer parameters from one profile to one-or-more profiles within an avatar! - Legacy Notifications Toggle
You can now switch between the new Advanced notifications or revert back to the Legacy notifications.
Advanced: Content rich notifications that include images and actions, rendered by the app itself. Does not support OS level settings or notification centres/history.
Legacy: Standard title/text only notifications, sent directly to the OS. Respects OS level settings and will be added to their notification centre/history - but does not facilitate any sort of actions or displays images. - Notification Volume Options
You can now set the volume for the notification sound effects for advanced desktop notifications.
Changes
Notificationsrenamed toInvites & Requests
This refers to the area on the home page where your friend requests and invites appear, not desktop notifications. They are functionally unchanged, though!Notificationssettings category added toSettings
These are the desktop notification settings. Everything that was inGeneralis now here, recategorised slightly, but your settings should still be as you set them.- Suppress Boot Notifications changed to Suppress Log-In Notifications
This option now suppresses notifications after logging in, not just app boot - this means the behaviour is effectively unchanged, but also ensures if you change or re-login your account in the app, you also don't get hit with notifications.
Fixes
- Indexing error with AAS Manager (fixes #84)
Turns out there was an indexing error with the UI and the backend, so changing parameters in the UI was actually adjusting a different parameter in the backend. Now the correct parameter is updated when you make changes!
CVRX v1.0.9
Added
- You can now set the corner you want notifications to appear in!
Check the settings, now you can pick any of the other three corners instead of the one where everything always seems to be happening.
Changes
- Notifications are suppressed on app start by default.
However, there is an option to turn this off if you'd like to get your 'currently online' tagged friends notifications.
Fixes
- Invites in the notification area are properly dismissed when you click Join In Desktop/VR.
Doesn't make much sense keeping them around if you've actioned them! (Fixes #79) - Use correct sound for Invite Requests.
Was accidentally using the 'system' sound effect - now it's properly using the 'invite' sound effect.
CVRX v1.0.8
Added
- A complete custom-built, content rich, interactive desktop notification system!
Notifications are now rendered by the app itself instead of relying on the OS-level APIs. This still ensures cross-platform support, but does mean that notifications will not be tracked by the OS's 'notification centre' or similar facilities. Of course, we still track CVRX specific notifications in the app itself, so nothing is really lost! - Notification sounds!
You can turn these off in the Settings menu, of course. - Notification deeplink support!
You can now respond to invites directly from the notification with buttons letting you join in Desktop or VR, exactly how it works in the in-app notification centre.
Additionally, if your tracked friend comes online into an accessible instance (so not offline or private), you can also jump right in to their instance too, straight from the notification! Literally magic~
Changes
- Friend and Invite Notifications are now ENABLED by default.
This update will override any previous settings; so if you prefer to have these DISABLED, you'll need to go turn them off in the settings. This is to clear some confusion we had over the implementation of notifications in the app.
Reminder: To get notifications for your friends, you need to turn on notifications on a per-friend basis on their Details Page. This is deliberate, as I'm very well aware some people have a lot of friends but only need to be notified about a select few. :^)
Fixes
- Friend notifications now appear consistently.
Previously they would only appear if your activity feed had a previous node with that friend in it. This was a silly oversight by me (Astro). Oopsie! - Dismissed Invites are now filtered correctly on the client.
This means if you dismiss an invite, it won't reappear if you get a new invite/friend request/anything that updates your in-app Notifications. No more invite spam! - Desktop Notifications for Invites no longer spam all pending invites.
You'll only get notified about the newest invite that's come in, even if you have some pending. So if you have certain friends who like to bombard you with invites, you won't get seven+ notifications for a single instance anymore.
CVRX v1.0.7
Added
- Add a loading spinner when requesting a details page to clarify that the app is actually doing something, in the event that API responses are slower than usual.
- Added an option to
Desktop Notificationsto list all friends with notifications enabled to easily manage and remove tagged friends from a single list.
CVRX v1.0.6
Added
- Dismissal button for Invites and Invite Requests.
- Desktop Notification options for Friend Status, Invites and Invite Requests.
To use Friend Status Notifications, go toSettings -> General -> Desktop Notificationsand turn onFriend Online Notifications. Then, go to your friends' details page and toggle theNotificationsbutton in the bottom-left!
Changes
- Self status is now reported via websocket, and is instantaneous, like friends.
- Self status is now tracked on the Activity tracker.
- Minor rename to front page sections:
Active Instances->Instances
Friend Activity->Activity
Filter friends...->Filter users...
Known Issues
- Dismissed invites and invite requests will come back if your notifications update before the game server has fully deleted the request. This will be addressed in a future CVRX update.
