One model-agnostic orchestration skill replaces the two overlapping ones.

  • New /efficient-orchestrator: keeps an expensive model (Fable or Opus, Astra or Sol) on planning, judgment and review, with a tier table for cheap helpers (Haiku or Sonnet under Claude, Terra or Luna under OpenAI). Helpers are capped at 3–5, never spawn their own helpers, and are closed when done.
  • It runs only when invoked by name (disable-model-invocation: true plus the description). Newer models already reach for subagents readily, and unrequested fan-out got expensive.
  • /efficient-frontier and /efficient-fable become explicit-only aliases, so existing commands keep working.
  • The orchestrator diagram moves to skills/efficient-orchestrator/assets; README and the adding-a-skill guide are updated.
  • check-skill-frontmatter.mjs now allows the disable-model-invocation field.

npm run check:skills passes locally. check:agent-native-skills couldn't run here without a framework checkout; CI runs it.
