Summary

Implements plan events-core against the specs merged in #197: the site becomes the system of record for events, displacing Meetup for the monthly hack night.

  • Shared: Event and EventRsvp Zod schemas (with seriesId/agenda already on the record for the series plan), event/event_series slug-history types, regenerated JSON schemas.
  • API: events and event-rsvps sheets (configs vendored into apps/api/gitsheets/, merged to the data repo as codeforphilly-data feat: set up github login test #6/Set up GitHub login migration transition on old site #7/Add ability to edit the contributor list on project pages #8), in-memory indices incl. incremental hot reload, EventService/EventWriteService, twelve /api/events routes, RFC 5545 rendering for the download, the webcal feed and email attachments, Philly-time formatting, three new notifier mails (RSVP confirmation with .ics, event updated, cancelled), /calendar and laddr /events/*past redirects, slug-history and legacy-handle redirects for event slugs, purge cascade.
  • Web: /events, /events/past, /events/:slug, /events/new, /events/:slug/edit, /calendar; one-click RSVP with the three-way follow-up and grouped attendee list; staff controls; Google Calendar and .ics links; home-page strip; header/footer/breadcrumbs.
  • Tests: 20 API integration tests, 15 ICS/time unit tests, web screen tests; browser-checked the index, detail, RSVP + follow-up, and home strip against a seeded dev repo (one null-description crash found and fixed).

Not in this PR (own plans): the reminder sweep (events-reminders), series + agenda UI (events-series-agenda), the four laddr events (events-legacy-backfill).

Zod records per specs/data-model.md#event: a flat event with optional
seriesId/agenda already on the schema so the series plan needs no
migration, and the RSVP with its three-way follow-up `plan`.
SlugHistory gains `event` and `event_series`.

Regenerated .gitsheets/schemas; ProjectBuzz and TagAssignment were stale
relative to their Zod sources and are refreshed in passing.

Implements specs/api/events.md and specs/behaviors/events.md:

- `events` and `event-rsvps` sheets in the public store with in-memory
  indices; hot reload picks the new Maps up unchanged.
- EventService (upcoming/past by end time, draft visibility, attendee
  list) and EventWriteService (create with date-first default slug,
  patch with icsSequence bump and RSVP-file move on rename, publish,
  cancel, guarded delete, idempotent PUT/DELETE rsvp with the follow-up
  plan).
- lib/ics.ts renders RFC 5545 text (stable UID, SEQUENCE, folded lines,
  plain-text description + schedule) for the download, the subscription
  feed, and email attachments; lib/event-time.ts formats everything in
  America/New_York.
- Notifier gains event RSVP / updated / cancelled mails with the .ics
  attached; the transport seam and Postmark adapter learn attachments.
- /calendar, laddr /events/*past-style views, and segment URLs redirect;
  event slugs join the slug-history redirect patterns; purge cascades to
  RSVPs; `past`, `upcoming`, `all`, `feed`, `series` are reserved slugs.

/events, /events/past, /events/:slug, /events/new, /events/:slug/edit,
/calendar → /events. One EventCard shared by the index, past view, and
the home strip; one-click RSVP with the three-way follow-up and the
grouped attendee list; staff controls; Google Calendar and .ics links;
webcal subscription with copy fallback. Times always render in
America/New_York with the zone abbreviation; the form converts Philly
wall-clock to UTC and duplicate shifts one month DST-safely.

… exist

The display rules said hide it; the actions table said disable with a
tooltip. The tooltip is the better teacher, so the rules now agree.

Catch up with what landed on develop during the build: register the two
event sheets with the incremental reload handlers (with unindex
inverses), extend the swap-in-place fixture, and give `event` its own
legacy-handle normalization rule (underscores allowed, 100 chars) so the
slug-redirect plugin can resolve laddr handles like `launchpad_2019`.

The About section called trim() on a null description, which the API
emits for events created without one. Found in the browser check.

DST-crossing multi-day ranges label both ends; the one-month duplicate
shift clamps to the last day of a short month; the Share-to-Slack copy;
the RSVP list is a paginated envelope like every other list.
