The first instruction, and get_profile's description, told the model to call get_profile at the start of every session. The Claude directory review rejects wording that has the model call tools the user didn't ask for, and the hosted server copies this text.

  • Instruction 1 and the docstring now describe when the profile helps (personal suggestions, the user's own work or plans) and say to skip it for general questions.
  • Instruction 4 drops the shouted "BEFORE ... call"; same meaning.
  • README: the assistant reads the profile "when knowing you helps".

Checked in Claude Code (stub backend, so only which tools get called):

Prompt Tools called
What's 17 x 23? none
How do I reverse a list in Python? none
Can you suggest a dinner recipe for tonight? get_profile
Help me plan my week get_profile, search_memory
I'm vegan now. What should I cook tonight? add_memory, get_profile
What did we decide about the billing database last time? search_memory

Same as before the change: the model already used judgement; the text now says what it does.

The first instruction told the model to call get_profile at the start of
every session, and the tool's docstring said the same. Directory review
rejects wording that has the model call tools the user didn't ask for.
Describe the situation instead (personal suggestions, the user's own work
or plans) and say to skip it for general questions, which is what capable
hosts already do.
