What is Gadget Server?

Gadget Server project is a gadget repository service, here gadgets refer to opensocial gadget spec compliant widgets. For example, we can consider the igoogle directory as a public gadget repository service. Our gadget server is an enterprise gadget repository that targets enterprise users.

Gadget Server has two parts, as we described above, one part is that users can maintain (Create, Update, Remove) their own gadgets, as long as it complies with the opensocial gadget spec, into the server. The other part of the gadget server is the UI to render the user selected gadgets in the web page.
