This PR adds crucial test coverage for both
IAcceleratorimplementations, those beingDefaultAcceleratorandSoftwareAccelerator. The goal of these tests is to catch issues with each implementation in isolation, giving key insight to the debugging process in cases where changes to these classes cause other testing failures.
