Downloading what you need

Firstly, determine what modloader you want to use. The ones supported by this mod are Fabric and Minecraft Forge.

Fabric Setup Instructions

1. Download and setup Fabric using their instructions
2. Download the Fabric API from CurseForge or Modrinth for your Minecraft version. (Check the release page for recommendations on which version to download.)
3. Download the Fabric version of the mod from the release page, CurseForge, or Modrinth
4. Place both the Fabric API and the EffectMC mod into your mods folder. (Usually located in your .minecraft folder, you may have to create the folder yourself)

Forge Setup Instructions

1. Download and setup Minecraft Forge using their instructions
2. Download the Forge version of the mod from the release page, CurseForge, or Modrinth
3. Place the EffectMC mod into your mods folder. (Usually located in your .minecraft folder, you may have to create the folder yourself)

NeoForge Setup Instructions

1. Download and setup NeoForge using their instructions
2. Download the NeoForge version of the mod from the release page, CurseForge, or Modrinth
3. Place the EffectMC mod into your mods folder. (Usually located in your .minecraft folder, you may have to create the folder yourself)
