Notes:

  • What support does Kubernetes and/or Istio provide?
  • Authentication is "easy", given JWT or other tokens.
  • Authorization more difficult
    • Could be only at the edge via GQL or BFF.
    • Could be at the microservice level
      • Role based
      • or more granular
