About The Pull Request

thanks borbop for the idea

This makes it so in order for a holymelon (or any plant with the antimagic gene) to be harvested, the tray must be blessed by a chaplain smacking it with a bible.

A tray being blessed lasts either one harvest, or after two minutes, whichever happens first.

Why It's Good For The Game

Makes holymelon spam require more effort, without directly nerfing the melons themselves.

Testing

Changelog

🆑
balance: Holymelons can now only be harvested if their plant tray has been blessed by a chaplain using their bible.

Not a fan of this solution to the holymelon problem. Holymelons are the primary source of holy water when the chaplain isn't available, or even when they are but a lot is needed for chem purposes.

Holy water infusion and making the stats more specific (PR #11265 is attempting the stat gating) would be a better way to gate them, making them actually require more than just watermelon seeds, EZ-Nutrient, and a spot to grow, but without being as restricting as requiring a chaplain to repeatedly bless the tray to get something that might just be going into a grinder for a chemist making strange reagent or the like.

still worth giving this a shot based on how well the changes in #11265 go

I am again suggesting a Holy Water infusion instead of this PR's solution.
It would require either a chaplain, cargo, or some B&E to obtain, and would make it impossible to have a public garden holy melon speedrun, as you would need botany to infuse them.
