Lipstick currently has a highly specific (to pig), complex, and inflexible data model. It's not scalable and doesn't generalize to other types of non pig or non map-reduce workflows. In an effort to simplify and generalize the following work will be done:

• Lipstick server backed by Elasticsearch
• Lipstick server independent of Pig
• Simplified workflow graph data model
• New graph data model API endpoints (v1)
• Client side graph layout and rendering (no more graphviz)
