Inconvenient to remove attendees using update command

The attendees inside the event doesn't show their respective index. Hence, considering an address book with a lot of contacts, it can be inconvenient to search up each of the attendees' index and remove them.

Thank you for the report.
We indeed agree that it would be better if the list of attendees included their indices in the contact list.

However, according to the severity guidelines for bugs, we believe that this bug does not "affect normal operations of the product", and so the severity should be low rather than medium.

While an inconvenience, users are still able to add and remove contacts just fine.

LegacyLink has the feature whereby users are able to quickly switch between the contact view, event view, and command input box with tab and arrow keys, as well as scroll through the contact/event list with arrow keys. They can also do so using our list -e and list -p commands to quickly swap between the two views, while saving the update command they are typing in their keyboard (using Ctrl + A and then Ctrl + C) so that they can paste it back later on.

This supports fast-typists as there is no need to use the mouse and performing these searches can be performed quickly through the keyboard.

We will consider this as a future improvement, and a quality of life change, and hence classifying it under NotInScope and severity low.

Reason for disagreement: Thanks for the feedback for my bug report, however I believe that it is not a NotInScope issue.

I believe that this still causes major inconvenience for users dealing with a lot of contacts. For example, if someone wants to remove 5 contacts in an event, while having up to 20 contacts in the address book, the user might get annoyed for having to swap tabs every time to check what are their respective indexes.

Back to your statement, LegacyLink's feature of able to quickly switch between contact view, event view, and command input box with tab and arrow keys, is indeed valid. However, after typing something in the command input box, the user would still need to use the mouse to click on the contact list for them to use the arrow key to scroll and navigate throughout the contact list. Additionally, as the list was not alphabetically arranged, the speed of the scrolling of the arrow keys is way too fast for users to keep up and spot someone that they want to remove when dealing with a lot of contacts. Doing it once or twice could be fine, but if someone wants to update multiple events and people, it could cause major inconvenience to keep clicking and switching between tabs. It is not fully catered to a fast typist and it would need some mouse movement.

I would still suggest adding in their respective indexes which allows users to just stay in the events tab and update the events, or change the parameters to names.

Reason for disagreement: Thanks for the feedback to my bug report. However, I would still think this bug issue should be at least severity.Medium

severity.Low : A flaw that is unlikely to affect normal operations of the product. Appears only in very rare situations and causes a minor inconvenience only.
severity.Medium : A flaw that causes occasional inconvenience to some users, but they can continue to use the product.

According to the severity guidelines, I believe my bug issue fully adheres to how a severity.Medium flaw is defined. As you said, the user can still add and remove contacts from the attendees list, however it causes occasional inconvenience to users, who have an address book that contains a lot of contacts, e.g. 15 contacts and above, to add and remove contacts that they want because of the missing respective indexes. Compared to severity.Low guidelines, this is not a very rare situation and it does not cause minor inconvenience only, as having to deal with 15 contacts and above is quite normal for a family tree or someone who plans events.
