Memories land in the wrong project when no project is given #527
learn over MCP or POST /v1/learn has no project field and uses the project of the server process's working directory (for example project:tmp~<hash> when the server was started in /tmp).
The PreCompact hook uses its own working directory when the payload has no cwd, and writes every payload without a session_id into one shared pre-compact-unknown memory across projects.
task --project "", briefing --project "" and import --notes --project "" accept an empty project; a filesystem path is accepted as a task-state project.
Steps
Start memesh serve from /tmp, POST /v1/learn with an error and a fix: the lesson is tagged project:tmp~<hash>.
memesh task --project "" --goal g: stored under project "".
Expected
learn accepts a project like task_state does; hooks without a usable cwd or session_id skip and say why; empty or path-shaped projects are refused.
Fixed by #558 (merged to main in a6f856c): learn takes a project on MCP, CLI and HTTP (required over HTTP), and project names are stored exactly as given.
