Summary

Ordinary Claude Code sessions now appear online while their MeMesh MCP connection is open, without enabling Channel. Channel remains optional for live push; basic reminders, durable inbox delivery and explicit intake keep their existing behavior. Existing released routers hand over to the updated runtime without creating a false Channel registration.

Verification

• npm run verify: exit 0, all four stages passed: build, release gates, isolated tests and packaged install/CLI/doctor smoke.
• Isolated suite: 5678 passed, 9 skipped; 282 test files passed.

• Real Linux Claude CLI, without Channel: the model discovered its own real session, the old 4.11.1 router handed over normally, and closing MCP removed the live registration. Both processes exited 0; no false host-accept receipt was created.
• Independent read-only implementation, simplification and wording-delta reviews: PASS_WITH_CONCERNS; original failing counterexample remains recorded locally.

Test plan

• Initialize ordinary Claude MCP with a real session ID; discover one Claude registration and remove it on disconnect.
• Preserve invalid-config and explicit opt-out behavior, exact project/session isolation, Channel precedence and durable fallback/intake.
• Upgrade from an authenticated released router; reject bad authentication and unsupported handshake responses.

Known limitations / follow-ups

• Existing platform skips remain skipped; Windows secure local-router support is not added.
• Custom or inconsistent same-version router files are outside the released-version handover invariant.
• Online means MCP-connected; immediate push still requires optional Channel.
• Existing editor and other host lifecycle evidence is reused at unchanged boundaries. This is not a new Codex Desktop/model lifecycle run, and installed hosts need a restart to load new plugin bytes.
• Publication and installed-host updates follow merge; this PR does not claim they have completed.
