Payflex Gateway for PrestaShop

A payment gateway integration for PrestaShop that enables Payflex payment processing.

Requirements

• PrestaShop 8.x or 9.x
• PHP 7.4 or later, with the cURL extension enabled
• A store currency of ZAR

Installation

From a release ZIP

1. Download the latest payflex-<version>.zip from the releases page
2. In the back office go to Modules > Module Manager > Upload a module and upload the ZIP
3. Configure your Payflex credentials

With Composer

Only for shops installed from source (a git checkout). PrestaShop's release ZIPs ship a prebuilt vendor/ and no root composer.json. In such a shop composer require finds no manifest, writes a new one containing only this module, and then prunes vendor/ to match - deleting every PrestaShop dependency and taking the site down with Class "PrestaShop\PrestaShop\Core\Version" not found. If your shop came from a ZIP, use the release ZIP method above.

Confirm the shop root has a composer.json before running anything. If it does:

composer require payflex/prestashop-gateway

composer/installers routes the module to modules/payflex. PrestaShop's own manifest already allows that plugin; if yours does not, add this line to the existing config.allow-plugins block - do not replace the file:

"composer/installers": true

Recovering a shop already broken this way: restore vendor/ and composer.lock from the PrestaShop release ZIP matching your version, delete the composer.json Composer created, and clear var/cache.

Upgrading from 2.0.x: the module folder was renamed from PayFlex to payflex. Record your ClientID and Secret, uninstall the old module, then install this one.

Configuration

Open Modules > Module Manager > Payflex > Configure and set your ClientID and Secret. Payflex is only offered at checkout once the credentials are saved and the cart is priced in ZAR.

CRON Setup

Pending orders are reconciled by a scheduled task. Pick a method under Cron Method on the configure page.

Symfony console (recommended for PrestaShop 8 and 9):

On a multistore install, pass the shop: --shop-id=1

Legacy HTTP URL: kept for backwards compatibility. The URL includes a token unique to your install and is shown on the configure page.
