JARVIS

Just A Rather Very Intelligent System

Setup (Mac)

  • In the home (~) directory, type the command: "sudo nano .bash_profile".
  • Type "alias jarvis='~/Developer/JARVIS/jarvis'" in the document, changing the path to be wherever the repository got cloned to.
  • Switch to the directory and change the executable permissions with "cd ~/Developer/JARVIS/jarvis", or wherever the repository path is, and change permissions with "chmod +x jarvis".

The environment variables for Twilio

Find your Account Sid and Token at twilio.com/console and set the environment variables. See http://twil.io/secure

echo "export TWILIO_ACCOUNT_SID='xxxx'" > .env
echo "export TWILIO_AUTH_TOKEN='yyyy'" >> .env
source ./.env

Setting up Twilio

First cd to the JARVIS directory. Then,

./ngrok http 4567

because spark uses port 4567.

Then edit the Messaging webhook at:

https://www.twilio.com/console/phone-numbers/PNc367aae44831dcf2326b0f490e8403a3

to have the same url and a /JARVIS suffix.

This can all be tested by navigating to the webpage, i.e.

http://7d9997dc3177.ngrok.io/JARVIS

which is the same as

http://localhost:4567/JARVIS

because of the ngrok port forwarding.
