Please have a look at the integration of the algorithm (fpgrowth), it does deliver better crossselling products, but I am not 100% sure of the integration in Prestashop mainly because it stores the related products in a new table, and it would need refreshing, probably by a cron job.
Also testing should be integrated in a different way, I am open to suggestions :)
