There were 3 rounds in total.

The first round was an online round, having 20 questions of aptitude, 20 questions from basic C and the next set of 20 questions had 3 different options, Computer Science, Communication and Electronics.

This set consisted of 20 questions from the chosen subject.

The questions were of good standard and only 23 were selected after the first round.

TECHNICAL ROUND:

The second round was a technical interview, where the interviewer started by enquiring about my hobbies. He then started asking me a couple of puzzles.

Puzzle 1: If there are 2 different containers of 3L and 5L respectively, and there is no way to know the measurement of the containers. (This means you can either empty the container or fill it to the brim). Now you are given an unlimited supply of water and you have to measure 4L in a container.

I gave the solution, and the interviewer asked for another way of solving it. Answered that again, and he then asked me if any further optimisations are possible, and which method is the most optimum. I then gave him 2 optimisations, one for minimum water and one for minimum steps.

Puzzle 2: The interviewer then gave me another puzzle.

A man falls into a 30m deep well. Now he can climb 4m in one day but he falls 3m at the end of the day due to fatigue. How many days will it take him to reach the top?

I answered this and the interviewer seemed impressed.

He then asked me to differentiate between C++ and Java and which one would I prefer. I told him C++ because of STL, Operator Overloading, Multiple Inheritance.

He then asked me a few data structure questions, about AVL trees and Binary Search Trees. He asked me to write the code for Merge Sort. On doing so, he asked me to write the code to print the 20th prime number.

He concluded the interview by asking me about the difference between struct and union in C.

HR Round:

The HR round was the final round, with the HR asking me general HR questions such as tell me about yourself and where do you see yourself in 5 years.

This round went well and I finally got selected for intern process.
