1.35.2 – Photo frame widget update fix

If you don't use Photo frame widgets, you can ignore this release.

So the minor update of the task scheduling library done in 1.35.1 caused instability of Photo frame widget updates. It took me a while to notice that something is wrong, then two more days to identify the cause, then verify the fix.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and once again thanks for supporting the app through extensions.

1.35.1 – Small fixes

Fixed

• Not showing the date in the media viewer if the opened entry has no title

Changed

• Memory cards no longer move around immediately after being seen, so they behave more like Instagram stories

By the way, the gallery is confirmed to work with the latest PhotoPrism release of February 24, 2025.

1.35.0 – Automatic extension keys renewal 🗝️

This is a small update for those who have acquired extensions, to whom I am very grateful 🤝

Now, if you have a new device on which your key doesn't work, or you would like to use your key on multiple devices, you don't have to email me – the key can be renewed to be used on another device in the app, once per day. Both the new and the old key keep working forever.

The renewal option is available on the key activation screen, when "This key is not issued for this device" error is shown.

Initially, I thought it was important to have a particular file selection dialog when selecting/sharing a video or other entry with multiple files. But it turned out to be unuseful – the primary file can be determined automatically, therefore eliminating the need for extra clicks and enabling selection by dragging.

In case you missed the previous update, there's now an extension store in the app where you can browse and acquire gallery extensions. To access it, install the app from GitHub or F-Droid ;)

1.29.0 – Widget extension, extension store

This version brings the second extension – Photo frame widget, which shows a random photo changed once every few hours. For each widget, you can configure the shape and search query to pick photos from. You can also enable the date of the shot to be shown on the widget, so it looks like "Your memories" widget from Google Photos.

There is also now an extension store in the app, where you can browse and acquire available extensions. It is only accessible when installed not from Google Play.
