• git init --bare $HOME/.dotfiles

Define an alias of git to manage dotfiles

• alias dotfiles='/usr/bin/git --git-dir=$HOME/.dotfiles/ --work-tree=$HOME'

Clone dotfiles repository into a new machine

• git clone --bare https://github.com/USERNAME/dotfiles.git $HOME/.dotfiles
