Depends...in current state when you pauze the stream and resume, say, the next day it first plays the buffer from previous session en after a minute or 2 jumps to "live".
In my honest opinion it should always rebuffer when you hit play so it will always start "live" and only use the buffer for short breakups in the stream NOT caused by pressing play/pause.
