Prerequisites
- Visual Studio Code with the TIBCO Flogo® Extension for Visual Studio Code (2.26.7 or later) — download the latest from the TIBCO downloads page (also on the VS Code Marketplace). This is all you need to design Flogo apps — the Flogo Design CLI (
fda) ships inside the extension. - Building apps (executables, Platform zips, unit tests) additionally needs the Flogo App Build CLI (
flogobuild) from the same TIBCO downloads page and the Go runtime. Deploying to TIBCO Platform needs the TIBCO Platform CLI (tibcop, from its download page) and a profile. - Connector prerequisites: apps that use a connector with a native driver or client library (database connectors such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, IBM DB2; SAP Solutions; IBM MQ; TIBCO EMS / FTL) need it installed before you open them in the designer or fetch metadata — VS Code Flogo sidebar → Help And Feedback → Install Prerequisites for Flogo Connectors…. Per-connector details: connector-prereqs.md.
- Agentic AI use cases (skill library) also need PostgreSQL +
psql, Python 3.9+ and an LLM API key; Node.js 16+ only for the chat end-to-end test. - Agentic AI Industry Use Cases — 14 end-to-end, governed industry demos organized by vertical: banking (retail & corporate payments), insurance (auto RAG, life & pensions), healthcare, telecom, utilities (electric & oilfield), aerospace & defense, high-tech/semiconductor, logistics, real estate, and scholarly publishing. Each uses the same three-app pattern — an MCP Server (scoped reads and guarded two-step writes), a read-only A2A reasoning-agents app, and a WebSocket AI Orchestrator — backed by PostgreSQL, and shares the browser Chatbot test client.
