This R package provides a programmatic interface to the [Bacterial Diversity Metadatabase][BD] of the [DSMZ (German Collection of Microorganisms and Cell Cultures)][DMSZ]. As of [June 2021, BacDive's "redesign"](https://twitter.com/BacDive/status/1409481626367758341) has rendered this R package inoperable.
Apparently, they want you to use [either of these clients](https://api.bacdive.dsmz.de/client_examples).
