Here are some common use cases for the Hubstaff v1 API client.
First configure the hubstaff-ruby
gem with your APP_TOKEN
, and initialize a new client. After that, you can fetch data from your account.
List all users and organization or project memberships for each user.
json_data = client.users(true, true)
# => {"users": [{ "id":..., "organanizations": ["id":...], "projects": ["id":...]}]}
Users can be looked up by their user_id
.
json_data = client.find_user(61188)
# => {"user": { "id":...}}
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. Then, copy .env.local.sample
to .env.local
and substitute your own real values from your account. Finally, run rake spec
to run the tests.
You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
