Maintaining FEDEFL
Designated members of the Federal LCA Commons Technical Working Group and their contractors and associates maintain the list.
Maintainers should work directly from the master branch. See Install for Maintainers.
The general responsibilities of list maintenance include responding to Federal LCA Commons member and external contributor pull requests that follow the guidance for contributions to the list and mappings, and either rejecting, recommending further edits, or approving and merging those into the master list, then rebuilding the list after verifying functionality. All decisions should be well-documented in the pull request comments.
Before approving and merging changes, we recommend running the appropriate tests in the forked repository from which changes are being pulled, which are the same tests described in Flow List Additions and Create or Edit Flow Mappings, depending on whether changes are made to the flow list input files or flow mapping files, to verify functionality before merging into the code base.
Flow changes to the flow list, after rebuilding the list, use the compare old list script to document and review changes from the previous version of the list to the new list.
