This commit adds the MIT license to the project. The MIT license is a permissive open-source license that allows anyone to use, copy, modify, and distribute the code, even for commercial purposes, as long as they include the original copyright and license notice in their distribution. The license is included in a new file named LICENSE in the root directory of the repository. The license is effective immediately and applies to all code in the repository unless otherwise noted.
