AICA

AICA (Audio Intelligent Conversational Agent) is a cutting-edge project designed to analyze audio content, transcribe it into text, and perform multilingual translations and summaries. This repository contains the codebase and instructions to set up and use AICA on your local machine.

Prerequisites

Before you start, ensure you have the following installed on your system:

  • Python (>=3.8): A modern version of Python to run the code.
  • pip: Python package installer for managing dependencies.
  • GPU with CUDA Support (Optional): Recommended for faster processing of large audio files.
  • FFmpeg: Required for handling audio file formats.

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/anandharshit712/AICA.git
    cd AICA
  2. Set up a virtual environment (optional but recommended):

    python -m venv venv
    source venv/bin/activate  # For Linux/macOS
    venv\Scripts�ctivate    # For Windows
  3. Install the required dependencies:

    pip install -r requirements.txt
  4. Install FFmpeg (if not already installed):

    • Linux/macOS: Use the package manager (e.g., sudo apt install ffmpeg).
    • Windows: Download and install FFmpeg from FFmpeg's website.

Usage

  1. Place your audio files in the audio_files directory or specify the path directly during execution.

  2. Run the transcription and translation script:

    python main.py --input <audio_file_path> --output <output_file_path> --language <target_language>

    Example:

    python main.py --input audio_files/sample.mp3 --output results.txt --language fr

    Parameters:

    • --input: Path to the input audio file.
    • --output: Path to the output text file where results will be saved.
    • --language: Target language code for translation (e.g., en for English, fr for French).
  3. View the results in the specified output file.

  4. For summarization, use the optional --summarize flag:

    python main.py --input <audio_file_path> --output <output_file_path> --language <target_language> --summarize
