Differentiating Variance for Variance-Aware Inverse Rendering (Siggraph Asia 2024 & Wētā FX)
The current code base includes surface only second moment integrator for path replay backpropagation(not mentioned in paper) for Mitsuba3.
A more complete version with volume and complete sampling support will be released in 2025.
