that WorkOS Connect access tokens contain a space-delimited scope claim, and
that configured scopes are enforced against it using require_all by default,
returning 403 only when a required scope is missing. Update the troubleshooting
entry to advise checking configured values against the token’s scope claim or
removing scopes to disable global enforcement.

Looks good — straightforward documentation addition.
What was reviewed: the new auth-workos.mdx guide structure and content, the sidebar entry addition, and the auth.mdx cross-reference update. Checked that the #configure-scope-enforcement anchor linked from the new guide actually exists in auth.mdx — it does.
Extended reasoning...
Docs-only change: new guide docs/source/guides/auth-workos.mdx plus two screenshots, a sidebar entry in docs/source/_sidebar.yaml, and a one-line cross-reference update in docs/source/auth.mdx. No source code, configuration, or security-sensitive surface is touched. Verified the internal anchor link from the new guide to auth.mdx's scope-enforcement section resolves correctly, and the new guide mirrors the existing Auth0 guide's format.

111-111: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winFix the WorkOS scope claim guidance.
This guide uses WorkOS MCP Auth under Connect. WorkOS documents that Connect access tokens include a space-delimited
scopeclaim. The text on Line 111 says WorkOS tokens never includescope. The text on Line 286 says scope enforcement "always fails." Both statements contradict the WorkOS documentation. The note should say thatscopesis omitted on purpose. It should also tell readers to check the token'sscopeclaim before they configurescopes.🐛 Suggested fix
-This configuration doesn't set `scopes`. WorkOS access tokens don't include a `scope` claim. They carry roles and permissions in the `role`, `roles`, and `permissions` claims instead. If you set `scopes`, the MCP server rejects every WorkOS token with `403 Forbidden`. +This configuration doesn't set `scopes`. If you configure `scopes`, each value must appear in the access token's `scope` claim. Otherwise, the MCP server returns `403 Forbidden` with `insufficient_scope`.Also applies to: 285-286

🔒 Security & Privacy | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick winRequire an audience in the Router JWT configuration.
The guide exposes the GraphOS Router at
http://localhost:4000, but its JWT configuration only specifies the AuthKit JWKS URL. Apollo Router does not enforce anaudvalue whenaudiencesis omitted. The MCP server's audience check applies only to requests onhttp://127.0.0.1:8000/mcp. Therefore, a valid WorkOS token issued for another resource can still passrequire_authenticationon the Router GraphQL endpoint.Suggested fix

| This configuration doesn't set `scopes`, so the MCP server doesn't require any scope. AuthKit access tokens include a `scope` claim with the scopes the client was granted, for example `openid`. If you configure `scopes`, every value must appear in that claim. Otherwise, the MCP server returns `403 Forbidden` with an `insufficient_scope` error. AuthKit grants only the standard OpenID Connect scopes (`openid`, `profile`, `email`, and `offline_access`), so you can't use `scopes` to require API-specific permissions. Qualify the API-specific scope limitation.
CIMD/DCR clients receive standard OIDC scopes by default, but WorkOS can configure environment-wide default permission scopes for dynamic clients. The current wording can make readers think API-specific scopes are unavailable. Clarify that this applies to the default setup, and note that scopes do not enforce user-role permissions. (workos.com)

This adds an "Authorization with WorkOS" guide that follows the same format as the Auth0 guide, using the same TheSpaceDevs example, rover dev, MCP Inspector, and Goose.
The main difference with WorkOS is scopes. AuthKit access tokens do carry a
scopeclaim, but AuthKit grants only the standard OpenID Connect scopes (openid,profile,email,offline_access). So the guide leavesscopesout of the MCP server config, and it notes thatscopescan't require API-specific permissions with WorkOS. Theaudvalue only matches if the MCP URL is registered as a resource indicator. It also updates the Auth0 guide, which had drifted from the current Auth0 dashboard.
Both guides now recommend CIMD for client registration, with DCR enabled as a fallback.
